Florida A&M University is offering a specialized credential for the development of individuals and the organizations they support.
Today’s companies understand how critical it is to protect the integrity of their digital infrastructure. In fact, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts a 33% job growth for information security analysts between 2020 and 2030.*
That projected increase is much higher than the national average, and FAMU is prepared to help meet industry demand and encourage workplace diversity with the new online Cybersecurity bootcamp.

The Knowledge You’ll Explore

This innovative program will teach students how to identify vulnerabilities in information technology pipelines and seek out solutions for mitigating them. Courses explore security technologies and processes that can help lead new ideas in safeguarding private data for individuals and organizations. This program uses analytical tools, including performance-based skills assessments to help learners understand their level of ability when they complete the bootcamp program.

A Program for Every Learner
The bootcamp offers convenient options for today’s busy professionals – with a part-time track lasting 48 weeks.
No previous IT skills are required, and the training has been designed to benefit people of all experience levels and with a range of different goals. This includes:
- Career starters looking to join the cybersecurity field
- Established professionals wanting to qualify for new roles at their current employer
- Career changers eager to transition into this growing sector
The program is designed to create qualified Cyber Defense Analysts, a job role defined under the NIST/NICE job role framework.
